Tane McClure has starred in over forty movies and television shows, recorded hit records, written
numerous scripts and produced the award winning independent motion picture "Trance".
She appeared as Elle's Mom in M-G-M’s blockbuster comedy, “Legally Blonde,” starring Reese
Witherspoon. Recent Independent feature credits include the action film "Tequila Express" (with
Christopher Atkins) where Tane played a tough DEA agent; and the HBO satires “Fatal Kiss", and the
soon to be released part 2 "ReVamped" (with Billy Drago, Martin Kove), playing the leading vampire
femme fatale. Additional screen credits include “Cruel Intentions II", opposite Mimi Rogers; "A woman
Scorned" (with Andrew Stevens, John McCook); “Sexual Roulette"; “Bare Deception"; and “Illicit
Dreams 2", "Go", "Caged Hearts", "Hot Under the Collar", "Border to Border", "The Jimi Hendrix Story",
"Commando Squad", and the cult classic thriller "Crawlspace" with Klaus Kinski.. Using her martial
arts skills, she has also appeared opposite Don-the-Dragon Wilson in “Cobra Mission".
Tane most recent works include the MGM musical stage production of "Mermaids" (based on the
MGM film by the same name). Tane played the role of Mrs. Flax, which was played by Cher in the
film. Tane received rave reviews on her acting and singing, "As Rachel, Tane McClure, outshines
Cher's movie performance and brings a broader singing dimension to her character's musical

Tane grew up on the back-lots of Universal Studios where her father, famed western actor Doug
McClure, starred as "Trampas" on “The Virginian.” She made her acting debut on the television series
at the tender age of four and developed her "horse sense", riding Dad’s trusty steed ‘Buck.’ An
accomplished equestrian she now competes in National Show Jumping Competitions and Dressage
Competitions in Southern California and has won numerous titles. She proved her athletic abilities on
Beau Bridges’ ABC family drama “Harts of the West", by jumping a four-foot fence bareback.
Notable dramatic television appearances have also included “Bay Watch Nights”, and a recurring role
on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives.” Comedic television appearances have included playing ‘Verna’ in
Showtime’s “Sherman Oaks” series, playing Garry Marshall’s niece on “Night Stand,” and a guest slot
on “Keenan Ivory Wayans Show.”
Tane landed her first recording contract, with RCA Victor Records, while still in her teens. Under the
name of Tane Cain she released “Holdin’ On”. The single made the Billboard Top 40 charts, leading to
tours with Jefferson Starship and Eddie Money. As a singer-songwriter, soundtrack credits include
three cuts on James Cameron’s cult hit “The Terminator,” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger; and the
title song “Love Me To Tears” from her movie “Trance.”
Music video credits include the dialogue driven Academy of Country Music Awards nominated, “You
Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This,” by Toby Keith, and starring Tané McClure. The song achieved #1 spots
on both the Billboard Country charts and the Radio and Records charts. The rave audience response
on Country Music Television, led to a feature slot on the special “Video Babes Secrets Revealed”.
In 2002, Tane’s movie, “Trance,” a supernatural thriller, co-starring Bruce Abbot (Replicator) and
Martin Kove (Karate Kid) won ‘Best Fantasy Feature’ at the New York International Independent Film
Festival. Ms. McClure, executive produced, co-wrote and starred in the motion picture. This year her
company, Trampas Films/New Legend Films, debuted a new comedy short entitled “The Eye Of Dan,”
and are in pre-production for “Ordinary Life,” another feature she and her partner, Tyke Caravelli, co-
wrote and are producing with JL Media. Additional programming includes the television pilot “The Real
Reel West” and a PSA with Jamie Lee Curtis for the cancer support group The Wellness Community.
