From putting words together on the printed page to creating images that move through
cyberspace, award winning Producer and writer Tyke Caravelli, brings life to ideas.
Understanding the power and magic of the media, Caravelli and partner Tane McClure, have
created two cutting edge production companies and are actively developing and producing quality,
yet commercial entertainment.
Their first full-length motion picture “Trance,” received BEST FANTASY PICTURE honors at the
New York International Independent Film Festival. Recently the duo completed a comedy short
“The Eye of Dan,” that is slated for the festival markets, as well as PSA for the Wellness
Community, and a television pilot “The Real Reel West,” in association with their newest producing
partner Marcia Groff.
Employing the power of new media, the two also co-produced an internet based show, “What’s
Shooting In Hollywood” and are now developing a new television series, “Medusa’s Tales” and a full
length feature, “The Furies,” as well as “Fire & Icemen” with ORG. Studios.
Caravelli's additional creative collaboration include her partnership with writer, Ann Ramer.
Their film scripts include “Tower Of Babble,” “All’s Well That Ends....,” “Eureka” and “The Lies That
Bind.” Collaborative script writing efforts with Gloria Carlin Chetwynd include “Back To Basics,”
“More Than A Lifetime” and the series “Cop Sense.” Other writing credits include her stint as a
columnist for HOTLINE, a Sunday supplement of the Chicago Today newspaper, the cookbook
“Bell, Cook and Candle” and her script “Portrait Of A Detective,” which is based on the exploits of
her famous detective father.
Tyke Caravelli is also an actor with extensive experience in motion picture, television and theater.
Lead roles in features include “Vice Academy 5” (USA/Sloan), “Crackdown” (JGB Productions) and
“Starchaser” (Mahaan Productions). Television credits include “So Proudly We Hail”
(Chetwynd/CBS), “This Ain’t Bebop”(American Short Stories/PBS) and “Too Close For Comfort”
(ABC). Stage work has included comedies such as “The Latest Mrs. Adams,” “Ali Baba,” “The
Wizard Of Oz,” and “No Sex Please, We’re British.” Dramas include “Cat On A Hot Tin Roof,” “Who’
s Afraid Of Virginia Woolf,” and “Witness For The Prosecution.” Musical productions have included
“Oliver,” “Promises, Promises” and “Fiorello.”
Making characters come alive either by acting, writing or producing Tyke Caravelli can breathe
emotion into characters and make them spring off the page. Whether it's multimedia, classic
filmmaking or television, she uses the depth and breadth of entertainment industry experience to
the fullest.
